Beverly Public Library  hosts their annual party on the library lawn at the Beverly Farms Branch.  Come for a fun afternoon that features entertainment by “Mike the Hatman”, lawn games for all ages, balloon hats and activities  for children, and cool summer refreshments. Learn about the  Summer Program for Children, “Dig Into Reading”. Fun for the whole family.  Sponsored by the Friends of the Beverly Farms Library. *The Lawn Party goes on rain or shine.*

Cure your cabin fever and join us for a fun evening with instructor, Tere Bowen-Irish. Participants will learn how to promote cooperation, literacy skills and gross motor development by playfully practicing simple yoga with your child. Best of all, it’s fun for adults, too!

Tere is a certified YogaKids facilitator and has been practicing Occupational Therapy for over 30 years in pediatrics and psychiatry.

North Shore Nursery School, is hosting a parent education night, open to the public, on Wednesday, April 7 at 7 p.m., featuring psychologist Dr. Deborah Weinstock Savoy on the topic “Mad...Sad...Glad! Helping Young Children Deal with Strong Feelings."

A major developmental challenge for toddlers and preschoolers is learning to manage intense emotions and impulses. This workshop focuses on how parents can help children recognize their feelings, control their impulses, and express their feelings appropriately.

Topics covered will be dealing with tantrums, responding to aggressive behavior, encouraging empathy, and helping children with their fears or worries RSVP to North Shore Nursery School.
